We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test for the upgrade of the Recording and Playback Systems (RAPS) supporting air traffic operations at Qatar’s military airbases as part of our ongoing project with Qatar ministry of defence.

The FAT was conducted at Jotron’s facilities in Norway in the presence of representatives from the customer, Bayanat Engineering Qatar, and Jotron.

This milestone reflects the proven capabilities of the Jotron Ricochet RAPS Solution in providing reliable, synchronized, and mission-critical recording and playback for demanding ATC environments.

That vision has now delivered its first result; a four-year satellite imagery services award from Hamad International Airport and Qatar Airways

During our recent visit to Muscat, Bayanat Engineering Muscat conducted a series of technical workshops in collaboration with Vaisala and Frequentis at the Oman Civil Aviation Authority.

We were also honored to meet with the President of the Civil Aviation Authority, Sheikh Naif, where we discussed Bayanat Engineering Muscat’s readiness and long-term commitment to supporting Oman’s aviation sector through innovative, reliable, and future-focused solutions.

Jotron designed Ricochet Investigator specifically to meet these demanding requirements by providing advanced data collection and transcription capabilities that transform recorded media into accurate, searchable text with precise timestamps; significantly reducing the time and effort traditionally required for manual transcription.
Whether analyzing radio communications, control tower exchanges, or cockpit voice recordings, the tool provides a streamlined solution for transcribing and reviewing conversations that are essential to understanding incident dynamics and supporting thorough investigations.

In collaboration with our valued partner Frequentis Air Traffic Management, this next-generation VCS solution will enhance operational resilience, ensure seamless controller communications, and support future-ready ATM capabilities at the Qatar Area Control Center (QATCC) 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 40 𝐀𝐂𝐂/𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.
