Keppel Seghers was awarded two contracts by the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (previously known as Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture in Qatar to design and build four Waste Transfer Stations and an Integrated Domestic Solid Waste Management Center (DSWMC) to handle and treat domestic solid waste for the whole of Qatar. The plant is designed to treat up to 2,300 tonnes per

day of mixed domestic solid waste. It will comprise waste sorting and recycling facilities, landfill, composting plant and a 1,500 tonnes per day WTE plant.
