One week ago, colleagues from across ING came together for 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, with Amsterdam at the heart of the action and more than 5,000 colleagues joining online from around the world.

His keynote, "The happy path is a lie: modelling failure end-to-end", explores a reality every engineer faces: systems are rarely judged by what works, but by what happens when things go wrong. From failed payments and expired sessions to conflicting updates, Gabriel will show how to design and model failure deliberately.

Drawing on real-world experience with Java and TypeScript, he'll share practical approaches to treating errors as first-class citizens and keeping them visible and meaningful across the entire stack, from domain model to user experience.

The second funding round of the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠, edition #3, is now open! Launched by Fundația Comunitară București and ING Hubs Romania, the fund has expanded this year with the support of ING Romania.

✅ Following the first funding round this spring, which awarded €100,000 to winning projects, applications are now open for the next round, with grants totalling €𝟕𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎.

✅ Grants can be accessed by individuals (pupils and students), teams, and NGOs developing projects in robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital creativity, VR/AR, educational applications, and technology solutions with social impact, competition entry fees, and the development of prototypes or digital products.
