Long before "innovation" became a business buzzword, Switzerland and Romania were already building a relationship designed to last.

This year marks 1️⃣ 1️⃣ 5️⃣ 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙨–𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 - a milestone reflected not only in history, but also in the partnerships, institutions, and people who continue to shape this relationship today. 👏

To celebrate this milestone, the Embassy of Switzerland in Romania / Ambasada Elveției în România, in partnership with the National Bank of Romania and under the auspices of the Royal Family of Romania, invites the public to discover “Valori care rezistă timpului | Timeless Values”, an exhibition hosted by the National Bank of Romania from June 4–6, 2026.

⏰ Built around the watch as a symbol of Swiss excellence, the exhibition brings together remarkable historical timepieces, watches belonging to the Royal Family of Romania, diplomatic documents, contemporary creations, and innovative concepts that illustrate the evolution of Swiss watchmaking and the enduring connection between our two countries.

The programme also includes interactive demonstrations and meetings with industry experts, offering visitors a closer look at the craftsmanship, precision, and innovation that have defined Swiss watchmaking across generations.

📍 Access to the exhibition is available by registration on the dedicated event website, .

We are pleased to support and share this initiative with the CCE-R community.

How do we turn sustainability from a cost into profit?
📍 Atlas Hotel, Timișoara – Apollo Room
📅 June 10, 2026 | 9:00 AM

Sustainability has moved beyond reporting. Today, it shapes supply chains, investment decisions, consumer behaviour, logistics, production, and competitiveness itself.

On June 10, CCE-R will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, public officials, and sustainability experts in Timișoara for a timely discussion on one essential question:
Who wins and who gets left behind in the transition toward a greener economy?
The conversation will explore topics shaping the next business cycle:
✅ Green Deal or Green Burden? Turning sustainability from obligation into competitive advantage
✅ Sustainable retail, green logistics, and responsible consumption
✅ Organic products, sustainable agriculture, and the circular economy
✅ ESG, compliance, and the impact of new regulations on the business environment
✅ Technology, digitalisation, and sustainable construction for the economy of the future

The event will open with remarks by:
Dr. Adriana Cioca, President, Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Romania (CCE-R)
Dominic Fritz, Mayor of Timișoara

The discussion will be moderated by Christian Macedonschi, President, Romanian Electric Mobility Association.
🎙️ Speakers:
Michael Kaiser, CEO, Sezamo
Petcu Codruta, CEO, Pronat
Corin Carcota, CEO, Flexik Automation
Andreea Lutz, CEO, Lutz și Asociații
Patrick Orsos, CEO, mgoIT

Some transitions happen gradually. Others redraw entire industries.
This conversation sits exactly at that intersection.
We look forward to welcoming you to another CCE-R event, this time in Timișoara, for a relevant and forward-looking dialogue.

Post-Event | Legal Frameworks for Economic Development in Romania
📍 Băile Felix | May 14, 2026

Legal predictability, institutional trust, and effective governance were at the center of yesterday’s CCE-R conference in Băile Felix, which brought together representatives of the business community, legal sector, public administration, and industry for a relevant and forward-looking exchange of perspectives.

The Oradea programme began with a visit to AstorMueller, and we thank Roman Baran for welcoming the participants and sharing valuable perspectives on the company’s development and operations.

Ahead of the conference, Dr. Adriana Cioca also hosted an informal speakers’ dinner at Restaurantul Corsarul, creating an excellent opportunity for dialogue and connection between participants in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

We thank all speakers and contributors for an engaging and highly relevant conversation:
* Dr. Adriana Cioca, President, Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Romania (CCE-R)
* Florin Birta, Mayor of Oradea
* Bruno Leroy, Founding Partner, Leroy și Asociații
* Alexandru Doroș, Notary Public, Professional Notarial Society Doroș – Golban – Curuți
* Oana Căpățînă, Partner, Neagu Căpățînă SPRL
* Roman Baran, Managing Director, AstorMueller
* László Kun, CEO, Amazing Visuals

A central idea throughout the conference was that, for companies, the legal framework is no longer just an administrative obligation, it has become strategic infrastructure and the foundation on which investments, mergers, entrepreneurial succession, industrial development, and innovation are built.

The event also reconfirmed Oradea’s position as one of Romania’s most dynamic regional business hubs, a city where public administration, infrastructure, legal stability, and private sector development increasingly work together to support long-term growth and investment.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes to Georgeta Grecu, General Manager of Lotus Therm Spa & Luxury Resort Băile Felix, for the exceptional hospitality, warm welcome, and elegant atmosphere that contributed greatly to the success of this event.

Through initiatives such as this, we continue our mission of fostering meaningful dialogue between the private sector, authorities, investors, and experts, while promoting trust, partnership, and sustainable economic development.

It was a pleasure for us to recently take part in a meeting with the Japanese Community & Business Association (JCBA) at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan in Romania.

Representing CCE-R, President Dr. Adriana Cioca and Vice President Frank Loeffler joined members of the Japanese business community for an insightful coming together focused on exchanging ideas, strengthening connections, and exploring future collaboration opportunities.

The occasion also provided the opportunity to share some of the best practices and initiatives developed within CCE-R, encouraging an open dialogue around international cooperation and business community development.

We extend our appreciation to H.E. Katae Takashi and the Embassy of Japan in Romania staff for their hospitality, as well as to H.E. 👥 The presentation was led by:
Dr. Adriana Cioca, M.A. MBA. – President

A moment to look at what has been built and, more importantly, what comes next.

Over the past year, every objective set for April 2025 – April 2026 has been delivered.
✔️ The Chamber has grown its membership, expanded and strengthened its working groups, and further defined the role and impact of group leaders.
✔️ From a successful economic mission to the Republic of Moldova to a strong presence across regional events in cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Brașov, Iași, Timișoara or Bucharest, the community continued to build relevance across the country.
✔️ Bilateral relations with peer Chambers have been further consolidated, dialogue with authorities has remained consistent, and member visibility has been actively supported.
✔️ New initiatives, including the Alliance for Education, have added further substance to our engagement, alongside continued collaboration with the Swiss Embassy.

🔹 Looking ahead, the direction is clear:
↗️ Economic missions to Switzerland in 2026 and 2027
↗️ Local economic conferences on relevant topics
↗️ Stronger focus on identifying Swiss companies active in Romania
↗️ Attraction of new Swiss investment
↗️ Deeper cooperation and exchange of best practices with other Chambers
↗️ Continued alignment with the Swiss Embassy in Romania
↗️ Ongoing representation of our members’ interests

The agenda evolves. The ambition remains.
We move forward with the same momentum. And with a community that continues to grow, contribute, and deliver.

🤝 With appreciation to the CCE-R Board of Directors: Dr. Adriana Cioca, M.A. MBA, Frank Loeffler, Daniel Hauri, Lucia Stoicescu, Miruna Enache, Ovidiu Dimbean-Creta, Stefanescu Laurentiu, Teodora Koletsis.

Launch of the Alliance for Dual Education Romania
📍 Bucharest | April 29, 2026

On April 29, we marked an important milestone with the official launch of the Alliance for Dual Education Romania, a national platform for structured dialogue and cooperation, aimed at supporting the coherent development of dual education, with the student at its core.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to building an education system that is closely aligned with the needs of the real economy, contributing to the development of a skilled workforce, increased competitiveness, and the long-term attractiveness of Romania for investment.

The Alliance was established through the joint effort of a strong and diverse group of founding members, highlighting that the future of dual education depends on collaboration across the educational, business, institutional, and civil society sectors.

As initiator, the Switzerland–Romania Chamber of Commerce (CCE-R) promotes the belief that developing qualified human capital requires direct and consistent cooperation between all stakeholders involved.

In the opening session, Dr. Adriana Cioca, President of CCE-R, emphasized:
“This Alliance reflects a remarkable collective effort, built together with partners who share the same vision: to provide Romania with a strong, modern dual education system, connected to economic realities. Only together can we build the workforce Romania needs.”

H.E. Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Romania, highlighted the relevance of the Swiss model:
“The Swiss dual education system shows that strong partnerships between the private sector, educational institutions, and public authorities lead to a competitive workforce adapted to the modern economy. Investing in skills means investing directly in people and long-term prosperity.”

Strong growth and strategic expansion for VAT Group in Romania.

According to data highlighted by Economica.net, VAT România - Arad ania, member of the CCE-R community and part of the Swiss-based global leader in high-performance vacuum valves for the semiconductor industry, recorded remarkable results in 2025, with revenues reaching nearly €43 million, marking a 44% increase compared to the previous year.
This performance reflects both the company’s strong global positioning and its continued investment in Romania. The newly opened production facility in Arad, now one of the group’s three major operational hubs worldwide (alongside Switzerland and Malaysia), plays a key role in supporting this growth.
The 21,000 sqm facility is designed to enhance production capabilities, with a projected 50% increase in high-precision component processing capacity, further strengthening VAT’s global supply chain and delivery performance.

A strong example of how Swiss investment and local expertise come together to drive innovation, performance, and long-term growth in Romania.
