An 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹’s new role comes with a practical brief: mission equipment to carry, personnel to accommodate, and deck operations to support.

GLO MARINE translates that brief into a coordinated vessel arrangement. For conversions supporting subsea, cable-laying or Walk-to-Work operations, we assess usable deck space, structural capacity, stability and the systems required by the new configuration.

Deck equipment may require reinforcement below it. Additional accommodation needs ventilation, power and water. ROV handling equipment, cable machinery and gangways require operating clearances, maintenance access and utility connections.

Working with the owner and equipment suppliers, we define what can remain, what needs modifying and what must be added for the vessel’s next offshore role.

Our responsibility extends from engineering through 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, all under one project management team. We deliver the complete conversion, handing over an operational vessel ready for its new scope of work.

When multiple upgrades share a docking period, GLO MARINE develops the engineering and installation plans around their combined requirements.

Our work includes:
● Checking layouts, cable and piping routes across the different scopes
● Defining installation sequences around shared access, lifting operations and system shutdowns
● Coordinating Class submissions, procurement and prefabrication with the docking schedule
● Supporting onboard installation, resolving technical queries and coordinating commissioning activities

This means planning how each upgrade will be installed and tested alongside the other works scheduled for the vessel.

We’re looking for a 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 to lead our sales activity across international 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 markets.

We’ve spent the last years building the delivery side of GLO MARINE. Now we want to strengthen the commercial engine behind it.

The role of 𝗩𝗣 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 is for someone who already knows the market — someone with real relationships among vessel and asset owners, managers, operators and EPCs, and who understands how technical projects move from an initial conversation to a signed contract.

You’ll take ownership of order intake, margin, pipeline and forecasting, while developing key accounts and turning individual wins into repeat business, framework agreements and fleet-wide opportunities.

Just as importantly, we need someone who can sit with a client and understand the real scope behind the opportunity — technically and commercially — and then work closely with our engineering, estimating and operations teams to build something we can confidently deliver.

The role reports directly to the CEO and will have a real opportunity to shape how GLO Marine sells as we expand internationally and bring new capabilities to market through our Technology Centre in Galați.

Integrating an Air Lubrication System (ALS) onto an active cruise vessel demands far more than technical ex*****on, it requires orchestrating complex interfaces, diverse stakeholders, and aggressive timelines within a tight dry-dock window.

Converting a vessel to LNG is fundamentally an exercise in system integration.

Over the last decade, we’ve built GLO Marine into a successful engineering and project business working across the marine, offshore and energy sectors.

We’ve reached the point where we need to take the business to the next stage.

We have ambitious plans. We want to grow significantly in the Middle East, North Sea and West Africa, continue developing our Technology Centre in Romania and build GLO into a €50m+ revenue business.

To do that, we need the right person to lead it.

We’re looking for a strong business leader with the experience, drive and commercial mindset to grow GLO through its next stage. Marine experience would be valuable, but more important is having successfully led and grown a project delivery, engineering services or small EPC business and understanding what it takes to scale.

They need to be commercially strong, understand P&L and cash, be comfortable around major projects and clients, and know how to build and lead a strong management team. Just as importantly, we need someone who is hands-on, makes decisions and is comfortable working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial business.

The founders will remain actively involved in GLO, so whoever joins us needs to be comfortable working alongside them and our wider shareholders. We don’t want someone who simply agrees with us. We want someone with the experience and confidence to challenge us when they think we’re wrong.

There is already a lot in place, but there is also a lot still to build. That is what makes this an interesting opportunity for the right person.

Integrating rigid sails on an LNG carrier means solving more than structure and stability. It means designing around hazardous areas from day one.

Deck-level gas venting creates hazardous zones where active sail electrical systems introduce real ignition risks. To unlock wind-assisted propulsion safely, these Ex-zone constraints have to be engineered at the very start of the concept stage.

In a recent feasibility study, the GLO MARINE team delivered a targeted scope of work to clear these critical integration hurdles:

➡️ 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: Mapped deck gas-venting zones directly against sail electrical architecture to guarantee ATEX/Ex safety.
➡️ International Maritime Organization 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Several sail arrangements were evaluated considering the visibility criteria, either through deck placement of the sails or additional installed cameras covering blind spots.
➡️ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Structural integration solutions were designed for both fixed and foldable sail options, considering minimum impact on the gas tank structure.
