International Earth Day – “Our Power, Our Planet”
Celebrated every April 22, this global observance reminds us that the Earth and its ecosystems are our shared home – and that safeguarding them is a collective responsibility. This year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” highlights the power of people, organizations, and societies to drive change through civic engagement, clean energy, and sustained environmental protection.
Guided by deeply embedded Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, sustainability is an integral part of how we operate and innovate at ZF LIFETEC.
Turning commitment into action:
⚡In 2025, we reached our target of 100% Green Electricity across our own operations. By committing to the purchase of sustainable green electricity worldwide, all purchased primary electricity within the ZF LIFETEC Group now comes from renewable sources such as wind, solar, hydropower, and geothermal energy.
💧 At the same time, we reduced our specific water withdrawal by 4.1%. Going forward, we will further strengthen our focus on the efficient and responsible use of water, with reduction targets of 1.5% per year in non water stress areas and 3% per year in water stress areas.
🔄 Responsible product development, smarter material choices, and a strong commitment to circularity are key enablers on our journey. By working closely with customers and suppliers on low‑carbon materials, recycled inputs, and closed‑loop approaches, we are increasingly shaping products that turn circular principles into practical, scalable solutions.
International Earth Day is a moment to reflect – and to act. We remain fully committed to our path toward climate neutrality at ZF LIFETEC by 2040.
