The team of the "OrganoPlate" project consist of biology students Andrey Fedorov, Mikhail Evseev and medical students Jiulustan Petrov, Darina Fedorova and Denis Sivtsev.

The team presented a prototype of a bio-incubator which allows growing structured human liver tissue. The technology utilizes the unique abilities of the liver to regenerate and extracellular matrix based environment.

The authors said that right now they are working on the concept and prototype and preparing for preclinical studies.

«Quick Safe Surgery». The initiators of this project, urologist Nyurgun Kladkin and head of the urology department of the National Center of Medicine, Alexander Maksimov developed a unique technology for early stage treatment of malignant tumors of kidneys and liver.

The technology involves the use of the author's surgical kit for local removal of the tumor, but not the entire organ. Most importantly this technology enables to eliminate the possibility of recurrence of the disease.

"Our goal is organ-saving therapy. We want patients who underwent cancer surgery to live on, without worrying about the return of the disease", said Nyurgun Kladkin.

The project named "ZEUS" was presented by medical students Nikolai Lazarev, Yegor Petrov, MSc Biology student Vladimir Chemoposov and engineer Leonid Zhirkov.

The team is working on a device that can produce controlled parameters of magnetic fields, electric current and laser radiation that will be used to study the behavior of different types of cultured cells.

The "TabWatch" team is working on the intelligent bracelet with built-in peel container.

The main feature of the device is synchronization with a cloud space and a neural network to collect data on how patients take their medication.

The team will also participate in "Crowd.Inc"accelerator (San Francisco, USA).

The project "KINESTHETICA" presented an application for training of coordination of movements.

The application is a casual game where the player, standing at some distance from the monitor, controls the dot with the help of the body movements and passes along the specified trajectory.

At the event the team presented the prototype of their application, which was basically maze game. However, this is not the only option for further development of the project, they said.

The primary goal of the project is to help people with difficulties in coordination to recover easily and with fun.

"LICHEN PRO RECOVERY" presented biologically active additive for people involved in sports.

This product speeds up the recovery and increase the effectiveness of training. The product completed preclinical studies.

This start-up was selected to "Crowd.Inc" accelerator (San Francisco, USA).

Vadim Kochubey, the representative of Karl Storz Endoskope, Germany based company, manufacturer of high-tech endoscopic equipment, spoke about the market of medical devices.

Vadim noted that investments in medicine are constantly growing. "A founder of a start-up must be like a superman, be able to conduct business negotiations and understand the technology" - he said. He also pointed the importance of a team in the success of any start-up.

Ivan Troev, the head of the laboratory of cell technologies and regenerative medicine at NEFU, told about technological and scientific aspects of a project. He pointed that modern innovators should combine both the qualities of scientists and entrepreneurs.
