Our range of disposable EEG caps, DEC NET, is now officially registered as a medical device.

These innovative caps allow for high-quality and patient-friendly recording of brain bioelectrical activity — during long-term EEG, EEG in a lying position, neonatal monitoring, and emergency EEG.

Using disposable caps helps prevent cross-infection and reduces the workload for medical staff: there’s no need to clean electrode systems after each patient.
The caps are available in sizes from newborns to adults and are compatible with most modern EEG systems.

We have published a series of practical video tutorials focused on the correct placement of ECG electrodes - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7Pxx54XCKGJ3IEbcBlUqT1pKKG0HcmoF

Proper electrode placement is essential for obtaining accurate and reliable electrocardiograms. Even slight misplacement can alter waveform morphology and complicate data interpretation — a critical factor in clinical diagnosis.

The series includes three videos, each highlighting specific clinical scenarios:
- Placement of reusable electrodes for 12-lead resting ECG recording
- Resting ECG recording using disposable electrodes
- Proximal limb electrode placement when standard positioning is not feasible

On May 21–23, 2025, the II Spring School "Next-Generation Neurointerfaces: Prospects for Practical Application" was held at the Higher School of Economics and the Center for Bioelectrical Interfaces.

The event featured two tracks — one for students and another for industry representatives interested in a fast and practical introduction to the field. It was an excellent format for promoting the neurointerface domain.

MCS took part in the EXPO, where we showcased our developments to interested students.

The company’s CEO, Ph.D. in Engineering, Dmitry Prilutsky, participated in the roundtable discussion “Practical Application of Neurointerfaces.”

The discussion was lively and insightful, with leading industry experts addressing the key challenges and future directions of the technology.

We thank the organizers for the high-quality event and look forward to participating in future initiatives!

On May 15–16, 2025, the Samara State Medical University and Neurotekhnika held the VIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Brain-Computer Interface: Science and Practice."

The event brought together Russian and international experts in neuroscience, including leading researchers, representatives of non-profit initiatives, and the business community. Our company also participated — it was a pleasure to reconnect with longtime colleagues, meet new ones, and discuss ongoing projects, promising developments, and future plans.

We thank the organizers and hope that Samara will continue to warmly welcome members of the scientific community in the years to come.

We’re excited to announce the continuation of our lecture series on event-related potentials (ERPs) - https://youtu.be/EVm-U3sw09A?si=IeujBzsB0savVFUo

This time, the lecture focuses on Mismatch Negativity (MMN) — an ERP component that arises in response to changes in auditory or visual stimuli. MMN reflects a negative brain response, typically detected 100–250 ms after a stimulus change, and serves as a marker of the brain’s automatic information processing.

The video is also notable for including a rare archival clip of Risto Näätänen speaking at Moscow State University — the scientist who first discovered the MMN phenomenon.

The lecture is conducted by Patrícia Ratmanova, Ph.D. in Biology and lecturer at the Department of Higher Nervous Activity at Moscow State University. The practical part of the video features our software and equipment.

Don’t miss the opportunity to learn more about the key role of MMN in auditory perception research and neuropsychology!

We’ve released a video that clearly demonstrates how the tES4me personal transcranial stimulator works and highlights its key features - https://youtu.be/Ce-SrLfdB9Q?si=XJHyFw0pPvP5zf5p

tES4me is a compact system designed for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and the treatment of mental health disorders using various transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) modes, including tDCS, tACS, tPCS, tRNS, HD-tES, and more.

tES is a non-invasive method of influencing brain activity through weak direct or alternating currents delivered via surface electrodes. It is widely used in clinical and research settings, with properly selected stimulation parameters helping to support neurological recovery, reduce anxiety, depression, insomnia, and addictions.

MCScap in Antarctica: Technologies for Extreme Conditions!

Our electrode systems are helping scientists study brain activity in the harshest conditions on Earth! Yulia Khomenko, a physiologist and participant in the Russian Antarctic Expedition (RAE), has been using our MCScap electrode systems and the portable SmartBCI EEG device from our partners at Mitsar to study the brain activity of polar explorers.

During the 68th RAE, Yulia and her team conducted research aboard the Akademik Fedorov research vessel and at the Mirny and Progress stations. The study involved 68 participants, with 134 EEG recordings taken—despite rough seas (up to 7 points), freezing temperatures, and even cases of seasickness. Yet, the data quality remained excellent!

A new expedition is already underway, and we are proud that our equipment continues to support scientists in such demanding environments. Studying brain activity in Antarctica is key to understanding human adaptation to extreme conditions—valuable for medicine, psychology, and even space exploration.

By the way, our portable NeoRec cap 21 systems are also perfectly suited for such studies!

We have had the NeoRec RatEEG12 system for a while, but we somehow never told you about it in detail! Time to fix that.

NeoRec RatEEG12 is a unique non-invasive system for recording EEG, ECG, respiration, and PPG in laboratory rats. Thanks to its lightweight design (only 20 grams) and special straps, rats remain in their natural environment and can move freely during experiments.
This system is already being used in preclinical research in neurophysiology, toxicology, neuropharmacology, as well as in studying respiratory and cardiovascular activity. Learn more about its features!

A streak of achievements just before the New Year!

We are excited to announce the receipt of a new medical registration certificate in Russia for our line of Neurovisor EEG systems.

The certificate includes the well-known NVX 24, NVX 36, and NVX 52 models, complete with our clinical software “Neurovisor,” as well as configurations supporting Evoked Potentials (EP) and Event-Related Potentials (ERP).

Additionally, we are proud to highlight that the software from our partners — Ates Medica (Neurotravel) and Mitsar (EEGStudio) — is now explicitly included in the certificate. This simplifies future product support and enables direct procurement for our customers.

We are committed to continuous innovation and your success!
