Hace una semanas cerré una etapa muy importante en mi carrera profesional en Holcim. It was an experience that marked much more than my professional development. También implicó un gran crecimiento personal, al animarme to leave my zone of comfort and move from Mendoza to Córdoba to assume this challenge.

Hoy closed this stage with the objective of continuing to grow, looking for new challenges and opportunities that allow me to continue developing myself both professionally and personally.

Me llevo aprendizajes en entornos industriales de alta exigencia, pero sobre todo me llevo a las personas. The team with whom I worked day by day, and especially the group that had the opportunity to lead, made each day worth it.

Trabajar con personas comprometidas, con actitud y ganas de mejorar constantamente, fue lo que más motivó y lo que más valoro de esta stage.

I appreciate all those who formed part of this path for learning and accompaniment. I am currently in Mendoza and available for new challenges in Spain from June 2026, in areas of operations, production, maintenance or continuous improvement.

A confined space is an area that is large enough for a worker to enter and perform tasks but is not designed for continuous human occupancy and has limited or restricted means for entry or exit.

Examples include storage tanks, silos, utility vaults, and manholes.

Strict protocols must be followed to manage hazards like toxic atmospheres, oxygen deficiency, and engulfment.

Risk Assessment: A competent person must

evaluate the space before entry to identify potential hazards (atmospheric, physical, or mechanical).

Permit-to-Work System: A formal written permit

must be issued and signed by a supervisor, documenting that all safety checks such as atmospheric testing and isolation have been completed

Atmospheric Testing: Before and during entry, the

air must be tested with calibrated gas detectors for safe oxygen levels and the absence of toxic or flammable gases.

Ventilation: Mechanical ventilation (e.g., blowers or fans) is often required to maintain breathable air and remove hazardous vapours.
Isolation (Lockout/Tagout): All energy sources (electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic) and connecting pipes must be physically isolated to prevent accidental activation or flooding.

Stationed Attendant (Standby Person): A trained attendant must remain outside the entrance at all times to monitor entrants, maintain constant communication, and summon rescue services if needed.

Emergency Rescue Plan: A site-specific rescue

plan must be in place before work starts, including trained rescue personnel and specialized equipment like tripods, harnesses, and lifelines.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Workers must use appropriate PPE, which may include respirators (SCBA), full-body harnesses, and protective clothing based on the identified risks.

Training: All personnel involved entrants, attendants, and rescuers-must receive specific training on hazard recognition and emergency procedures.
