Before making changes to a workstation, talk to the person who uses it every day.

“Is there anything about this task you would change?”

Maybe the problem is a hard-to-reach container, a load that needs to be turned by hand, or a height adjustment that interrupts the work.

Those details deserve a place in the project brief.

If you are planning to improve material handling, get operators involved early. Their input helps you understand what really happens during a shift.

Carrying out a lot of bending and stretching makes the process of loading and unloading pallets a tough job.

The pallet leveller PL 2002 is able to adjust its working height whenever goods are loaded or unloaded, and the turntable which is built into it allows you to rotate the pallet so that the goods come closer and thus are easier to reach.

Because it can carry up to 2,000 kg, the machine is suitable for ordinary use in production, warehousing, and logistics; it is portable and works by means of pneumatics, which means that an electrical installation is not necessary.

Might setting the working height at a better level make it easier to load things in your workplace?

A special solution was needed for one EdmoLift customer when it came to loading wooden pieces onto pallets: a TL 1000 scissor lift table fitted with a roller conveyor platform.

The tables lift the pallets up to an appropriate loading height, and the facility makes use of 70 units similar to those shown in the photographs.

Even if your products are different, it is still possible that reducing unnecessary bending and movement could have an effect in your production or packing area.
