How to compare EPDs the right way

Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) give you detailed, verified information about a product’s environmental footprint - including emissions, energy use and water consumption.

But be careful: EPDs for different product types aren’t always directly comparable because of differences in function, lifecycle stages and calculation assumptions.

For accurate sustainability decisions, check that EPDs use the same methodologies and consistent data, and compare products within the same category.

Can your students hear you clearly?

In an average classroom without sound absorption, the background noise is about 64 dB. That means a teacher may need to shout at 85 dB - just to be understood.

But children need even more help:

11-year-olds need +15 dB SNR

8-year-olds need +18 dB

6-year-olds need +20 dB

Good acoustics make a big difference. Class A absorbers can lower the perceived noise by up to 10 dB - helping students hear better, focus more, and feel calmer.
