TIDAL on your Alpine
We got several questions from the community on how it actually works, so here is a quick explanation: compatible Alpine Head Units are the iLX-F115D (Halo11), iLX-F905D (Halo9) and iLX-705D. After installing the new software update, the TIDAL app will appear in the HOME screen of your Alpine. Then you connect your Alpine to a WiFi hotspot (for example your phone) and the TIDAL App will communicate via internet with the TIDAL server. Playback of the Hi-Res Audio files will then happen fully uncompressed and unconverted in the Alpine Head Unit (full digital audio path). That way no noise, etc is introduced into the signal.

The 2nd-Gen R-Series Subwoofers now feature larger, double-stacked magnets that contribute more motor force for deeper bass and tighter bass control from the subwoofer cone compared to the previous generation. An integrated Faraday ring minimizes distortion for cleaner bass output. A Kevlar-treated cone ensures durability in the subwoofer for reliable performance, even at high volumes.

The new 2022 R-Series subwoofers are here - drawing from decades of Subwoofer engineering experience. They deliver deep, clean, accurate bass and feature Alpine’s HAMR Surround for maximum cone excursion, delivering tons of bass output. the new ceramic dust cap is very light weight and rigid, keeping distortion an absolute minimum. The new, enlarged motor structure ensures better overall woofer control for a clean, strong bass response.

The new R-Series subwoofers are available in 12”, 10” and 8” size configurations and come in dual 2Ω and dual 4Ω impedances.
