Vissheim

Vissheim Hydroponic technology that enables simple & automatic gardening of both edible & decorative plants - Vissheim was founded in 2016 in Linköping, Sweden.

Growing your own plants is amazing in many ways - harvesting fresh herbs takes the dining experience to the next level, we save the planet from long shippings and it’s balm for the soul to just be surrounded by nature - but in the era of “plug and play”, the gardening process is too time-consuming and complex to be appealing to people. Our solution is hydroponic technology that enables automatic &

simple gardening. The technology is packaged as flexible stand-alone modules that can be integrated in any furniture/interior solution - the perfect “plug and play” kit for furniture companies and interior architects wanting to design plant furniture. We offer one hydroponic plant module (Mimer) and one grow light module (Sol) as well as a software solution with automatic farming recipes individually optimized for 20+ plants (both edible and decorative). Altogether this technology enables simple gardening without needing to know anything about gardening.

Our Story

NO! NOT AGAIN!

Everything started in 2016, when Erik “took care” of his domestic partner Josefin’s enormous collection of plants while she was away traveling - and managed to kill them all.

There and then, the couple decided to create a living room greenhouse with automated and remote-controlled watering and lighting - in order to make the plants survive while traveling and to save the relationship.

The greenhouse, called Fjorgyn, gained so much attention and interest - we got contacted by random people wanting a automatic greenhouse themselves - that we teamed up with the technology virtuous Tobias and started a company out of the idea, and less than a year later we shipped out the first series of Fjorgyn to 13 customers.
