Using BioPen, Veronica Jove at The Rockefeller University was able to expose individual mosquito stylets to human blood, thereby allowing her to study the neurobiological mechanisms behind blood-feeding.

This amazing work, lead by Prof. Leslie B. Vosshall, has just been published in the scientific journal Neuron. Our warmest congratulations to everyone in the research group. We are very excited to see what challenges they will take on next.
