At Women in Tech, thousands of people gathered at Stockholm Waterfront to discuss the developments shaping today’s tech landscape.

Under the theme “Riding the Tides of Tech”, the focus was on AI, organisational challenges and the leadership needed in times of rapid change. The conversations were open, forward-looking and grounded in real experiences.

As a co-creating partner, we at Scania are proud to work with Women in Tech Sweden and support their ambition to attract more women to tech and ensure those already in the industry feel supported to grow and stay. We know that innovation benefits from different perspectives and experiences.

Thank you to the organisers, speakers and everyone who took the time to connect with us. We look forward to continuing the dialogue and contributing to a tech industry that is inclusive, diverse and open to all.

The Scania Top Team competition is entering its final stage: the World Final.
A week from now, on 8 May at 13:00 CEST, the top service teams will meet in Södertälje, Sweden, competing for the title of the world’s best service team and a prize of EUR 50,000.

Over the past year, around 8,000 service technicians and parts experts from more than 70 countries have taken part, demonstrating the competence and dedication that keep our customers moving.

“Top Team is not only an unforgettable and enriching experience for the participating teams, but we gain so much more as a company: the highly skilled personnel. We see a strong link between the competence of the technicians and customer trust,” says Victoria Österman, Top Team Project Manager, Corporate Communications.

Watch the World Final live on 8 May at 13:00 CEST here or at scania.com/topteam.

We’re proud to welcome a new group of Tekniksprånget interns to Scania this autumn.
Tekniksprånget, an initiative by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) in collaboration with industry and government, gives young people the chance to explore engineering through hands-on, paid internships. Since 2012, nearly 8,000 young adults across Sweden have taken part.

For us at Scania, this is more than an internship programme. It’s an opportunity to help shape the future of engineering by opening doors, sharing knowledge, and giving the next generation real insight into what a career in technology can look like.

This autumn, our interns will join us in Södertälje and Luleå to gain practical experience and take their first steps into the industry.

What does it take to build a career that truly makes a difference? For Tony Strömberg, it starts with something simple: listening, learning, and growing with every challenge.

With more than 30 years at Scania, Tony’s journey has taken him from bus development in Sweden to customer-facing roles across Asia. Along the way, he’s learned that real impact isn’t created in theory – it’s built through collaboration and how you handle the unexpected.

“You can bombard people with figures, but without trust, it’s very difficult to succeed.”

Today, as a Product Planner, Tony uses those experiences to help shape long-term solutions.

What has guided him throughout his career?

“Respect and elimination of waste. Without respect, you won’t bring people with you. Without eliminating waste, you won’t have a business.”

After three decades, one thing remains constant:
“I like the company. I like what we stand for. I like the people – and what we bring to the world.”

At Scania, our service technicians play a vital role in keeping our customers’ operations running smoothly. Through their knowledge, precision, and teamwork, they ensure reliable uptime every day. As the transport industry continues to evolve, their role becomes even more important – combining technical expertise with a strong focus on solving real customer needs.

Scania Top Team is one way we support and highlight this. The competition brings together service technicians, parts experts, and service advisors to develop skills, share knowledge, and strengthen collaboration through challenges based on everyday work in our workshops.

From local teams to national and regional finals, the journey leads to one final stage.

On 6–8 May, we welcome the world final of Scania Top Team, where 12 teams come together to compete and represent the strength of our global service organisation.

Autonomous transport is as much about people as it is about technology.
Daniel Blank works with hub-to-hub autonomous transport, helping connect technology, processes and people to make solutions work beyond controlled environments.

“We will still need drivers in the future. They can work locally, they can go home to their families in the evening and they can sleep in their own bed. We already see that we have a lack of drivers, so let’s use these skilled people in the right place and don’t make them go weeks at a time away from their families.”

Autonomous transport is moving from concept to everyday reality – and people play a central role in that shift.

For Khanittha Rotprayun, leadership is about action.
After starting her career in Thailand’s automotive industry, she has spent the past eight years at Scania Siam Service Company, growing into a dual role as Area Manager and Service Sales Manager.

Her work centres on performance, customer dialogue and turning feedback into improvements together with colleagues across the organisation.

“It’s sometimes a bit stressful thinking about a particular problem, and I need to work with other departments to solve it,” she says. “But I really enjoy working with challenges and everyday problems.”

With a strong focus on team development – and after hitting every goal set last year – she continues to mentor her team and encourage proactive thinking.

“It’s in my personality to always want a new challenge in front of me. It means my working life is never boring!”

For Isabela Casellato, leadership starts with listening.
With eight years at Scania and three-and-a-half in a leadership role, she serves as Group Manager for the Scania Production System (SPS) in Chassis Production in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, connecting strategy with daily operations.

“When I first became a leader, the leaders I connected most with were those who really listened,” she explains. “Hard skills we can study, but some things you only get by talking to people and learning with people. When you listen, people start trusting you.”

Her role combines support, training and follow-up across production, quality and logistics. One recent focus has been re-launching 5S training, leading to improvements in safety and quality.

For Isabela, SPS is “the key to connecting culture with people”. Working alongside colleagues with decades of experience, she emphasises mutual learning: “We can always learn from and with each other.”

An important reminder, and part of the everyday work we do together to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system.

Two days. One theme. Countless ideas.
Scania Hack is an annual innovation event that brings together employees from across Scania to explore new ideas, solve real-world challenges, and drive innovation for a more sustainable future.

The event empowers employees to dedicate time during working hours to develop and test new concepts. Open to all disciplines – not just coding – it encourages creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking across the organisation.

In this year's edition, Scania Hack brought together participants from across Scania and the TRATON Group under the theme “Do MORE with LESS" – to showcase a wide range of innovative ideas, highlighting the power of cross-functional collaboration and the collective drive to create smarter, more efficient solutions.

Scania Hack continues to demonstrate what is possible when people are given the space to innovate, collaborate, and shape the future together.

Here are some snapshots from when we welcomed members of Malvina, a network for female and non-binary students at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, to our Smart Factory Lab in Södertälje. The visit gave students a closer look at how digitalisation is shaping production at Scania.

Together with colleagues from across the company, we shared how we work with digital solutions, real-time data, AI and automation to make production smarter and more sustainable.

We also talked about why digital experience is important for our business. Our premium position is shaped by the whole ecosystem around our vehicles, including connected services, digital platforms and integrated solutions.

Moments like this remind us why it is important to keep showing what Scania is today and the future we are building together.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this visit possible, and to all the students who joined us.
