🎉 First Atlas Antibodies reference 2025:
👉🏼 Role of S100A Proteins in Glioblastoma Microenvironment
Recent research by Cómitre-Mariano et al. (Theranostics, 2025) highlights the distinct roles of S100A proteins in shaping the glioblastoma tumor microenvironment (TME).
The study utilized two Atlas Antibodies products in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF):
🔬 Anti-S100A13 (HPA019592): used to detect S100A13 in the tumor peripheries, this antibody revealed colocalization with microglial markers, such as P2RY12. S100A13 expression was elevated in tumors with higher microglial content and was co-expressed with microglial markers, supporting its role in microglial activation in GBM.
🔬 Anti-P2RY12 (HPA014518): employed to label microglial cells, this antibody confirmed the microglial localization of S100A13 in peripheral tumor regions. The findings highlight the association of S100A13 with neuroinflammation at the tumor’s invasive edge.
