Cellulose pulp fibres, transparent wood, the world's strongest biomaterial, lignin-based plastics – and slimy alginate worms! These were some of the sustainable materials that visitors could experience when WWSC and Treesearch took part in Järvaveckan!

At Järvaveckan, policymakers, organizations, and the public come together to discuss some of society’s most important challenges and opportunities. This year, visitors could also explore biobased materials as WWSC was invited to participate in the KTH tent.

Visitors had the opportunity to discover new sustainable materials, take part in a 🌲-themed quiz, and compete in making the longest alginate worm with the help of , Antonia von Schreeb and .

And the longest worm?
📏 An impressive 267 cm!
