Hello.
It is with great priveledge that I present to you all, my custom PC which I had built in partnership with be quiet! to launch their new Light Base 500 LX gaming chassis. This is a sponsored project by Inet, be quiet!, Aorus, Biwin, Zotac. I chose all components, and built to my own design without
be quiet! approached me with the question to build a unique custom gaming computer to display on Moderskeppet 2025. I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity, and immediately decided that I wanted to properly show off the features of the Light Base 500 FX case. I set out to build something beautiful, without drastically changing any of the features or aesthetics. The plan was set in motion to create the sleekest, custom watercooled gaming rig, with brushed aluminium details and unique design.
Custom aluiminium panels were created that would help seamlesly blend the built-in fan design even more, giving monolithic vibes. These panels are located in the bottom and the side intakes for the 120mm Light Wings LX fans. More custom panels were made to cover the front IO and power button. This is held in place with magnets with the power button still pressable even with the panel still in place. A cover for the top radiator was made, and a cover for the PCIE riser was put in place. Lastly, a cover for beside the motherboard was made to hide the holes for where the motherboard cables would normally be routed.
I say normally routed as I had the honour to work with Gigabyte / Aorus, who provided a BTF motherboard for the project. The motherboard used was the Aorus X870E Stealth Ice. A completely white and aesthetically clean motherboard, which suited the project perfectly.
The RAM chosen is the Biwin DW100 White, which is DDR5 with 64GB storage and 6800 mHz speed. Timings are CL30. They fit perfectly with the overall theme with RGB on top, white, sleek aluminium covers and very minimal details.
The CPU is the best all-round gaming performer, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
The graphics card was specifically chosen for its colour and design. The Zotac RTX 5070ti Solic Core OC in white, installed vertically with the native attachment which comes with the case. There is minimal RGB which is a plus, as I was concerened that there would be too much RGB in the bottom of the case when the 120mm intake fans are already illuminated.
To really set the project apart from the plethora of AIO cooled computers, I decided I wanted a custom loop for the CPU, with a custom dye colour to really make it pop. I decided to dig up an EK Water Blocks Reflection 140mm distrobution / pump combo to serve as the heart. I the carefully chose an Alphacool Core Silver CPU block, and painted the bracket + hardware to white in order for the colours to match the theme. This has a thinly lit RGB line around the frame, and finished with brished aluminium surface. It suited perfectly. Silver fittings, dual chromed and acrylic piping, and a silver pigment in the custom coolant colour makes this thing really stnad out and demand attention.
Please enjoy the photos of this project. It was legitimally fun to work on, and I am very pleased with the result.
