Our interdisciplinary team consists of students coming from all over the world, with different fields of expertise, ranging from immunology over chemical engineering to nanotechnology. By combining our knowledge, we hope to be able to build a functioning biosensor for creatinine. With Uppsala University being located in one of Sweden’s biggest biotechnology centres, we are in a good place to estab
lish cooperations with local researchers as well as companies. In certain conditions like diabetes or just ageing, the function of the kidney is compromised. The goal of our team is to develop a biosensor for creatinine, which is an indicator of kidney failure. We are looking forward to organising our project, working with people from different fields of expertise, and inventing something new! With the device we would help patients with kidney malfunctions in a highly accurate, precise, cheap and user-friendly way.
