To commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on March 24, we invited our users, partners and employees who are at the forefront, or have a front-row seat, to provide us with their perspectives on TB control in Asia Pacific.
Watch this video as Associate Professor Jackrapong Bruminhent speaks to the critical challenges in ending Thailand's global TB epidemic.
While TB incidence saw a 12% reduction in 2021 versus 2015(1), awareness of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) amongst the immunocompromised is still low. Among all the TB case notifications in Thailand, 84% of these cases are individuals with known HIV status.(2)
A/Prof. Jackrapong Bruminhent, MD, is with the Division of Infectious Diseases, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
