The Diabolical Rentier Policies Affecting Religious Organisations!

I was shocked to learn this morning of the outrageous sums which religious organisations are having to fork out for the leases of land they occupy.

A Pastor said that his church had decided to go for the option of a 3 year lease which works out to $17 000 per month instead of the 30 year lease which would work out to $30 000 a month.

It appears that a number of religious organisations are having difficulty finding the huge sums needed to renew their leases.

Why is this government practising such draconian Rentier policies even on religious organisations? These huge sums which they have to spend on leases can be better spent on projects to serve and help the community, which I am sure is what they would rather do, than to further fatten the coffers of this government.

Everything this government does these days appears to be geared towards extracting maximum rent or fees from all entities and persons in our society, and it is sickening!

If I am in Parliament, I would definitely bring this matter up for debate!
