Local Community Participation in Exploration Equipment Supply
As part of Annamite Resources’ field activities in Laos, the team has begun sourcing geological sample bags through local community members within our exploration areas.
These sample bags are used to support the collection, storage, and transport of geological samples during exploration work. By engaging skilled residents to sew and prepare the bags, Annamite is supporting a practical local supply arrangement that can create direct household income while reducing reliance on imported materials where local production is suitable.
This initiative is still developing, but it reflects an important part of responsible exploration: looking for opportunities where project needs can also support nearby communities in a useful and measurable way. Over time, as exploration activity continues, Annamite aims to explore whether this model can be formalised into community sewing groups across target villages, and beyond find opportunities to source more goods locally. This could provide a more consistent source of income, build practical skills, and strengthen long-term relationships between the company and local stakeholders.
For Annamite, community engagement is not only about consultation. It is also about identifying small, practical ways for local people to participate in the exploration supply chain.
