A big thank you to our dedicated team for their hard work and commitment. We also extend our appreciation to Keppel for their trust and to Mitsubishi Power Asia Pacific for their invaluable support in making this landmark project possible.

Keppel Sakra Cogen Plant, Singapore's first hydrogen-compatible combined cycle power plant, commenced commercial operations today.

The fully contracted 600MW power plant increases Keppel’s power capacity by about 45%, bolstering its recurring income and strengthening its strategic position in Singapore’s power market amid growing demand for reliable, future-ready power infrastructure, alongside the heightened focus on energy security and resilience.

Capable of co-combusting up to 30% hydrogen and natural gas at the onset, the plant can also be modified to run entirely on low-carbon hydrogen as hydrogen supply chains mature over time. The facility incorporates advanced technology and design features that make it one of the most energy-efficient power plants in Singapore.

The JEL Staff Party 2026 was a dazzling celebration — from nostalgic rainbow bread ice cream to bold disco outfits that lit up the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.

The evening featured inspiring words from our MD & CEO, Mr Daisuke Muraoka, and a proud moment as colleagues were recognised with Safety Awards for their commitment to one of JEL’s core values.

As the night progressed, colleagues lit up the stage with electrifying performances to timeless hits like “You Should Be Dancing” and “Hot Stuff”, while a surprise rendition of “Dancing Queen” had everyone singing along. The dance floor was alive with laughter, energy, and unforgettable moves. 🕺💃

From best-dressed showdowns to a thrilling lucky draw, the night was filled with joy and shared memories — a true celebration of the One JEL spirit.

Over two impactful days, JEL Group came together for the 𝟭𝟯𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗦𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 followed by our 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗔𝗚𝗠) – reinforcing both our safety commitment and our direction for the future.

At the HSE Conference, we reaffirmed a shared belief: safety is the foundation of everything we do. From strengthening commissioning safety to improving communication and accountability across teams and subcontractors, we remain focused on achieving our goal of zero accidents.

At the AGM, HQ divisions – including CC, EPC, Maintenance, Finance, HR – and our key subsidiaries shared updates on FY25 performance and outlooks for FY26, covering project progress, financials, and upcoming opportunities.

Our MD highlighted that as projects become larger and more complex, the way we work must evolve. Breaking down silos and strengthening collaboration between HQ and subsidiaries will be critical – integration must become our default way of working.

Our COO reinforced this message, emphasising that integration is no longer optional, but a necessity for delivering projects successfully in today’s environment.

Together, we move forward as one integrated JEL – committed to safety, collaboration, and sustainable growth.

Our team spent an afternoon at Food Bank Singapore to sort and categorise food donations, helping ensure that essential support reaches those who need it most. This is not our first time volunteering here — and it certainly won’t be our last. Every effort makes a difference, and we remain committed to lending our support to The Food Bank’s mission of alleviating food insecurity in our community.

The Year of the Horse at JEL kicked off with a spectacular lion dance performance – the highlight of our Lunar New Year celebration! 🐎✨ This lively and auspicious tradition symbolizes driving away misfortune and inviting prosperity for the year ahead.

The festivities continued with a customary louhei and a hearty lunch buffet, shared with laughter and great company. As we mark 元宵节 (Lantern Festival) – the last day of Lunar New Year, we once again wish everyone happiness, success, and good fortune in the year to come!

We recently celebrated our January, February, and March birthday staff with a refreshing walk at the serene Jurong Lake Garden – graciously joined by our MD, Mr Watanabe and his wife.

The stroll was filled with laughter and a touch of nature’s magic — including a delightful encounter with an Asian openbill stork, a rare visitor that added charm to this visit.
