On 17 June, during the second day of IPVS 2026, Kemin delivered a compelling satellite symposium titled“Advances in PRRS Management: New Research to Reduce Production Losses.”

The session featured expert insights from Dr. Chao-Nan Lin from the Department of Veterinary Medicine, National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan) and Dr. Susanne Kirwan, Technical Manager of Intestinal Health at Kemin Industries. Together, they addressed one of the most pressing challenges in global swine production—Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS).

A key highlight of the symposium was the presentation of new research exploring the combined use of Algal Beta-Glucan (ABG) with PRRS vaccination in nursery pigs exposed to a highly virulent PRRS strain. The findings emphasized the importance of optimizing supportive nutritional interventions alongside vaccination strategies to help mitigate disease impact.

Through this session, Kemin reinforced its leadership in advancing science-based, practical solutions—supporting producers in reducing production losses, strengthening herd resilience, and navigating complex disease challenges with confidence. hashtag
