Opsis is honoured to be part of the inaugural SAMH Golden Connect Festival held on 20–21 June, aimed at raising mental health awareness among hundreds of seniors.
At the event, Opsis Emotion AI a Singapore-developed tool and A*STAR spun-off was showcased as part of SAMH’s innovative mental wellness screening efforts. The 10-minute experience uses video prompts and questions, with real-time analysis of facial expressions and body language to assess emotional states. A report is generated for SAMH professionals to interpret and support further care.
Ms Jane Goh, deputy director of creative services and youth at SAMH, said the tool complements the association’s existing face-to-face screening processes. “This is useful for clients who might not be able to articulate their emotions very well but might still want to convey certain things,” she said
According to the 2023 National Population Health Survey, seniors aged 60–74 remain the least likely to seek mental health support. We’re proud to collaborate with SAMH to bridge this gap through technology designed with empathy.
We like to Thank for making this impact possible.
