We are proud to supply over 60 sets of FC-BRV-21 High-performance blast dampers, to the Sunrise Project, a strategic energy infrastructure project in Dubai managed by the Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP) and executed via Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE), EPC by Lamprell. It focuses on expanding the Margham gas storage and processing facility to increase gas capacity and integrate renewable energy.

Designed with high-capacity of blast protection by 5 bars reflected, and the excellent protection efficiency thanks to probably the fastest closing speed in the world, these blast dampers would bring the blast protection on HVAC systems for this project to a new level, which is particularly important at this moment as the ongoing regional conflict is adding more challenges to the safety of industry.

We thank our partner and project team for their trust and collaboration, and we look forward to supporting more critical infrastructure projects across the Middle East.

FUCARE supplies 2 m X 2 m large-size blast dampers to Shell’s GDM FPSO Project

FUCARE supplies FC-BRV-02 Rapid Blast Dampers with size by 2 m X 2 m for the Shell GDM FPSO Project, supporting critical offshore operations with reliable blast protection solutions.

FUCARE FC-BRV-02 Rapid Blast Dampers are characterized with single-sheet blades, enhanced blade supporting grid and short shafts. These design features assure the minimum Moment of Inertia of blade assembly while the enhanced blade supporting grid separates the blast damper opening to many tiny cells which present minimum challenge to blade under blast pressure. In addition, it is easy to enhance the blade supporting grid for higher blast pressure or larger blast damper while maintaining the same protection performance.

FC-BRV-02 is designed to withstand reflected blast pressures of up to 200 kPa and close within milliseconds to effectively isolate blast waves. Its robust construction enables it to withstand multiple blast impacts while maintaining operational integrity, helping to enhance personnel safety, asset protection, and operational reliability in demanding FPSO environments.

Technical Engagement with STRIDE on BLAST Compliance and Protective Systems.

FUCARE recently participated in a technical engagement session with STRIDE at Kompleks Persenjataan, Batu Arang.

The session focused on Malaysia’s BLAST compliance framework, including performance criteria, testing methodologies, and endorsement processes. Discussions covered blast load characterisation, structural response, and compliance pathways for key components such as blast-resistant doors, windows, HVAC dampers, and protective enclosures.

The engagement provided valuable alignment on regulatory expectations and technical benchmarks for deployment in defence and high-risk infrastructure.

FUCARE, announces its blast window with single-layer glazing, has passed a 78-minute fire testing. The test, conducted by SGS, is in line with EN 1364-1:2015 and the product is rated to E60 by EN 13501-2.

This successful testing enables FUCARE to provide various blast glazing systems with cost effective fire protection glazing for its partners and clients.
