Seeing red/ pinkish liquid flowing out from air-con drainage pipe?

Sometime customers are very worried when they see red/ pinkish liquid flowing out from their aircon drainage pipe in the toilet. They will ask us if it is toxic, harmful, or if it is refrigerant leakage.

Not to worry too much. Red liquid or slime from aircon condensate water is typically a bacteria-driven biofilm (Serratia marcescens), not refrigerant.

This is common in humid environments where airborne bacteria, dust, and rust mix with moisture, turning the discharge red, pink, or orange.

When you see it next time, do not be alarmed.

Having Existing Aircon piping running through built-in cabinet?

Unsure if aircon piping can be changed without hacking off built-in cabinet?

Below is a case study of one of our customers HDB flat aircon installation works.

Homeowner wanted to get their aircon and piping change as it is over 20 years old, but all existing piping was running through multiple built-in cabinets in master bedroom and common bedroom. Our friendly Team Dr. Cool site surveyor visited his house, do a thorough assessment, and make recommendations for available options, and alternative routes to change all piping without affecting the built-in cabinet.

All installation works are completed neatly within a day.

To Home owners,

Renovating your house is a joy, if you are engaging experienced IDs, and contractors. All things are planned smoothly as everyone will know exactly what they need to do to minimise hiccups. Coordination works are done smoothly.

For house under renovation, most of the time you will hear contractor saying "2 Trip installation" or "Run Piping first" for aircon installation works.

Usually it is recommended to run piping first while renovation work is in progress, and aircon equipment will only be installed towards the end of the renovation work after all walls, and pvc trunking are painted, this is to prevent new aircon from getting dusty during the process of renovation works.

All new aircon units will be wrapped up after installation.

As promised on 13th March 2026 post, the following are updated photos of aircon installation works after plaster ceiling contractor completed boxing up all the piping that we have run.

All piping are boxed up nicely and painted before aircon are installed on a separate appointment.

We know that running a business in Singapore is never easy, and helping our customers who are expanding their business to their new premise is our priority.

We received a 'SOS CALL' from our regular customer that they are relocating to their new premise, and have to relocate their existing air conditioners (less than 3 years old) while they reinstate the existing unit.

On short notice of 1 day, we manage to make special arrangements to get it done. Our teams of Dr. Cool Strongman nicely dismantle all aircon units, wrapped them up, delivered to new location, and reinstate some air-conditioners all within a day.

Great Job to our Team Dr. Cool Strongman, and thank you our customer for your trust and support to our business over the years.
