Turning AI readiness into action starts with collaboration.

As part of the AI Ready ASEAN initiative, we hosted two National Policy Convenings in Singapore, bringing together policymakers, educators, industry leaders, workforce development representatives — and, at the second convening during the ATxSummit: AI Student Developer Conference (AISDC) 2026, youth participants — to exchange perspectives on advancing AI fluency and preparing the workforce for an AI-enabled future.

Thank you to all our stakeholders, participants and partners for contributing your expertise and insights. These Policy Convening Roundtables are part of AI Ready ASEAN, a flagship initiative of the ASEAN Foundation, supported by Google.org to advance AI literacy across all ASEAN Member States.

AI coding assistants are continuing to evolve — and so is AIxTech.

At this week’s AIxTech Community Meetup, participants had the opportunity to explore Z.ai’s GLM-5.2, an open-weights model with a 1M-token context window, and learn more about its capabilities and potential applications.

The session also provided insights into the AIxTech curriculum, which focuses on helping tech professionals build practical skills in working with AI coding assistants through hands-on, real-world software engineering workflows.

Beginning in August, AIxTech learners will also have access to Z.ai’s GLM-5.2 as part of the curriculum and suite of AI coding assistants used throughout the programme.

Special thanks to Tencent Cloud for hosting us and providing the venue for this event.

We look forward to more AIxTech community sessions ahead — bringing together tech professionals to learn, exchange ideas, and explore the evolving landscape of AI.

And that's a wrap for the AI Internship Programme (AIIP)!

As we close the chapter on eight successful runs of the programme, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) for their longstanding collaboration and support in making AIIP possible. This partnership has provided aspiring AI talent with the opportunity to tackle real-world challenges and gain invaluable industry experience.

Last Friday marked AIIP's final session, where our Batch 8 interns presented the solutions they had developed over the past few months to the CSIT team. Congratulations to our Batch 8 interns on reaching this milestone. We hope the knowledge, experience, and friendships you've gained during AIIP will serve you well as you take the next step in your AI journey.

And to everyone who has been a part of AIIP over the years — our interns, mentors, and all those who contributed behind the scenes — thank you for making the programme such a meaningful success. While AIIP may have come to an end, we're excited to see the impact each of our interns will continue to make in Singapore's AI ecosystem.
