Thank you Singapore Business Federation for featuring RPRE at the 2022 Firefly Symposium held on 25 April 2022.

Over the years, SBF’s continuous support has enabled us to tap even more economic opportunities to address and serve the humungous Indonesian Market.

We are a company with a strong corporate purpose, committed to fighting climate change by offering clean energy solutions, while also being an inclusive employer. We’re proud to be the only certified B Corp offering renewable energy solutions in SEA (but we hope there will be many more!).

Having our HQ in Singapore allows us to leverage the financial, technical, and renewable energy sector knowledge, to better serve the Indonesian Market.

It’s been a busy start to Q4 2021! On 20th Sept 2021, we welcomed Ms. Aqilah Hashim and Mr. Segar Lais to the Right People Renewable Energy - RPRE Team.

Ms. Aqilah joined RPRE in 2020 as part of her internship program while studying Power Engineering at Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) - Newcastle University. We are pleased to welcome her back as a energy engineer.

RPRE is also heartened and proud to be recently awarded the Enabling Mark (Silver) by SG Enable. RPRE is committed to being an employer, such as hiring and integrating persons with .

Segar is a wheelchair user with a hearing impairment. His experience as an architect, and being bilingual in English and Bahasa Indonesia, will help our work involving ensuring building code compliance, green building requirements, and digital document control for our commercial and industrial (C&I) projects.

2021 marks the 5th year that our Finance & Administration Manager, Mr. Yong Tat Yan (TY), has been working with RPRE. TY is an accountant, is hearing impaired, and is a critical pillar in our company. To ensure an integrated workplace, our communications and meetings with TY are done mainly on and emails and also in quieter acoustically conducive meeting rooms. RPRE always uses Meet that comes with speech-to-text captions for the online meetings.

In 2019, RPRE supported him financially with paid time off to have a hybrid solution (that consists of a cochlear implant and hearing aid) through ENT check-up appointments, audiology appointments and listening therapy. The hybrid solution was subsidized by SG Enable’s Assistive Technology Fund. RPRE also covers the costs for the follow-up listening therapy and required appointments. With RPRE’s support, he is able to hear much better with his listening skills training. RPRE strives to provide a much more inclusive environment for him.

We look forward to continuing working with SG Enable in the journey towards making our workplaces more inclusive.

Willing Hearts donates over 10,000 free meals PER DAY, and this number is growing! They have outgrown their current space and will be moving to a new location to better serve their beneficiaries!

Right People Renewable Energy - RPRE has helped raise over $60k in donations, and with matching, that’s over $120k!
Donations will go towards multiple for the new premises, including:

- System to reduce monthly energy expenses
- Building a homeless shelter
- Rebuilding the new kitchens (including vegetarian and halal certified kitchens)
- Medical and dental clinics
- and other projects embarked by Willing Hearts.

Every cent will be channeled towards supporting Willing Hearts' vision and mission to serve the underprivileged and marginalized communities.

Right People Renewable Energy - RPRE is delighted to announce that New Energy Nexus Indonesia (supported by the IKEA Foundation) has invested in us. It was also recently announced that IKEA Foundation will join forces with Rockefeller Foundation to set up a $ 1 billion global platform to fight climate change and energy poverty.

New Energy Nexus' mission is to provide 100% renewable energy for 100% of the population. It has opened its doors to renewable energy startups in Indonesia since 2018 and ran incubation and accelerator programs providing training, mentoring, and other business support to help startups sharpen and validate plans and the business model. RPRE took part in its accelerator program in Q4 2020.

RPRE is a cleantech startup focused on fighting climate change. Headquartered in Singapore, it has operational offices in Jakarta and Manado in Indonesia. It focuses on serving commercial and industrial clients in the remote off-grid market. It has won multiple awards for using Business as a force for good, and delivering social and environmental impact. The investment will be used to strengthen RPRE’s Indonesia capabilities and expand its geographical footprint.

Indonesian companies who are still using diesel/fossil fuels to power their operations in remote areas can reach out to discuss solutions to decarbonize. RPRE is also supported by Impact Investment Exchange - IIX, and Loyal VC, and is actively fundraising and open to discussing more investment opportunities for impact investors committed to fighting climate change in Indonesia.

We Support National Service.

The concept for an Armed Forces Day was mooted in early 1969. The objective for this special day was for the armed forces to reaffirm their pledge of loyalty and dedication to the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the nation. It would also allow them to reflect on their role and responsibility in the defence of the nation. Since 1967, many generations of our National Servicemen (NSmen) have served Singapore with pride and honour, following in the footsteps of pioneers who set the foundation of NS with their commitment, determination and fighting spirit, contributing to the peacefulness and stability that all Singaporeans can be proud of and enjoy today. Right People Renewable Energy - RPRE aspires to be the “Special Forces” of renewable energy, focusing on providing energy in remote off-grid areas in Indonesia. This SAF Day, in true RPRE fashion, we dedicated time to show our appreciation of our NSmen for their service and to acknowledge their contributions to the defence and security of our nation.

Kevin Lim, a Helicopter Search and Rescue AirCrew Specialist from The Republic of Singapore Air Force. Everyone took turns to share their military experiences and how they are able to productively apply the skills acquired during their service in the Armed Forces to optimize their working capacity at RPRE.

RPRE is an NS Gold Mark Employer and was also awarded the NS Advocate Award, the highest accolade conferred on businesses, organisations and individuals in recognition of their exemplary support towards Total Defence and National Service.
