Vena Energy announced the start of commercial operation at the 7.5 MW Nakaura Wind Project in Saikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. With the capacity to supply clean and renewable electricity to over 4,000 households annually, the Nakaura Wind Project is expected to help avoid approximately 8,700 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and save up to 15 million litres of water each year, compared to conventional thermal power generation.
Mitsuyuki Segawa, Mayor of Saikai City, remarked: “This project is expected to generate significant ripple effects for local employment and the regional economy. We also anticipate substantial economic benefits from renewable energy extending across the entire prefecture. We are deeply grateful that the Nakaura Wind Project in Saikai City has been successfully completed—thanks to the support and cooperation of the Nakaura community, all other stakeholders, and the dedicated efforts of Vena Energy.”
