Worldwide, several million liters of crude oil are used to produce plastics on a daily basis. The alternative to this primary raw material – and also the better approach - is a consequent recycling of disused products and packaging made of plastic.

This is the mission and vision of Giesswein International Trading – namely on an industrial scale and with the highest possible degree of quality. We supply our clients in the plastics industry with top-quality raw materials, on par with comparable primary granulate. In addition, we continuously strive to further decrease time and work spent on recycling processes and to increase the application possibilities of our products.

Giesswein International Trading recycles mono-fraction waste that accumulates in the production of plastics and further processes such waste into regrind and regranulate. Mono-fraction plastics go through two production steps. In the first step, foils, production waste, packaging scrap and waste, plastic panels/ boards etc. are broken up and processed into regrind. In the second step, regrind is melted, sent through filter and vent zones, solidified and finally processed into new granulate, the so-called regranulate.

Regranulate is of higher quality than regrind, comparable to newly produced granulate and thus comes with a broader range of application. It is practically indistinguishable from newly produced granulate.

We currently have a production capacity of approx. 50,000 tons per year for regranulate. Our product and services concept comprises an expert consultation tailored to the individual needs of the customer as well as the processing and marketing of the produced plastics in line with principles of profitability and expediency.
