Low-impact product transport offers many advantages. It protects product integrity and can therefore minimise quality defects, resulting in fewer rejects and increased productivity. Avoiding product damage and reducing wear and tear on equipment also results in cost savings.

The montrac® intelligent transport system uses innovative technology to ensure low-impact product handling. Each shuttle is equipped with an advanced distance sensor that continuously detects the distance to the shuttle in front or obstacles. The key to low-impact transport is intelligent control of the acceleration and deceleration process. The shuttles adjust their speed and as soon as the distance sensor detects a change in distance, acceleration or braking is initiated gently and precisely in real time.

In the battery cell production process, low-impact transport is particularly important after the cells have been filled in order to maintain the quality of the cells.
