We were glad to have our CEO Derrick Yap to attend the Business Connect session,hosted by the .
It was a great gathering of industry leaders and partners across the semiconductor ecosystem, with lots of open sharing, meaningful discussions, and opportunities to explore future collaboration.
During the session, Derrick shared on how PBA “Moving Beyond Traditional Supplier to Becoming a Technology-Driven Partner.”
He shared PBA’s journey from starting in 1987 as a small hardware supplier providing components like bearings, gear heads, and belts, to growing into a global technology partner. Over the years, PBA expanded into , , , , and full system-level capabilities, while building a strong presence across Singapore and key markets including Malaysia, China, Taiwan, and beyond continuing to expand into new markets.
Derrick also highlighted how the company has evolved from serving a wide range of industries to focusing on and makers. This transformation was driven by a clear long-term vision working closely with customers as an extension of their R&D and manufacturing teams, co-investing in innovation, and building strong, lasting partnerships.
Today, continues to support next-generation manufacturing with advanced solutions such as hybrid bonders, thermal compression bonding, and wafer scanning systems.
Overall, it was a really meaningful session to connect with industry peers, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships within the community. A big thank you to for the kind invitation and for putting together such a well-organized and engaging event.
