Tow approval completed for a tanker damaged by an engine room fire being towed from Chittagong to Batam, Indonesia for repairs. The tow is now underway.

Whilst there are no immediate retirement plans the SEAsurveys succession plan has commenced with what is hoped to be the first of more surveyors to join. Paul Mejica will head up the Manila office from 1st March 2026 being an ex-chief engineer and RINA class surveyor so is well qualified and well experienced for insurance related risk assessment, loss prevention and casualty related surveys.
