Lanolin isn’t “just oil”.
It’s a natural wax chemistry — built to protect wool from harsh weather, and it builds a more persistent protective layer on metal surfaces.

In simple material terms:
✅ Waxy esters form a more persistent film
✅ That film is hydrophobic (helps repel moisture)

It is also a reminder of how much responsibility we carry as citizens of a small nation in an uncertain world.

Over the past year, the world has shown us that peace, trade, energy security and jobs can never be taken for granted. Yet Singapore’s story has never been about size. It has always been about resilience, discipline, unity, and the quiet determination to keep building, even when the road ahead is unclear.

As we celebrate Singapore’s 61st birthday, may we continue to go beyond fear, beyond comfort, and beyond ourselves.

This time, we set sail for the nearby Riau Islands — City of Batam, bringing a greener, environmentally responsible alternative to its shores and sharing sustainable maintenance solutions with this vibrant maritime hub.
