The Project of Capacity Development for Advanced Diesel Generator Maintenance, a technical cooperation by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is close to finish their activities. A series of classroom trainings for EGTC staffs to deepen their knowledge on the operation and maintenance of diesel generators have been conducted since 2022 by Japanese consultants, Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd. and West Japan Engineering Consultants, Inc. Also an OJT (On the Job Training) through a full-scale overhaul at Kingtom Power Station has been conducted during the period. The operation and maintenance (O&M) capacity as well as planning ability of EGTC is surely improved, leading to a reliable power supply to the people of Sierra Leone.
