Loss for the Energy Sector

It is with profound sadness that I report the passing, early this morning, of *Engineer Milton Gegbai, Director General of the Electricity Generation and Transmission Company* (EGTC).

Milton was an indispensable member of energy sector leadership, starting as a young engineer at the then NPA and rising through the ranks at both EDSA and EGTC, where he served as DG for over five years.

His death is a devastating loss to the Sector and he will be dearly missed.

Through his selfless service and leadership, EGTC continued to transform and provide critical energy services to Sierra Leone.

On behalf of the Ministry of Energy and the entire Energy Sector, I extend our deepest condolences to his wife, children, and all relatives grieving the loss of this great Sierra Leonean.

May his soul rest in peace.

Cyril A. Grant
Minister of Energy
