สำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย ปรับปรุงหลักเกณฑ์การตรวจสอบบัตรผ่านขึ้นอากาศยาน หรือ Boarding Pass และเอกสารยืนยันตัวตน เพื่อเพิ่มความเข้มงวดด้านความมั่นคงปลอดภัยการบินให้เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ลดข้อขัดข้องในการปฏิบัติงานระหว่างผู้ดำเนินการเดินอากาศ (สายการบิน) และผู้ดำเนินการสนามบิน ตลอดจนเพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกในการเดินทางให้กับผู้โดยสาร
