What happens when Transitions® lenses meet changing light?

It comes down to photochromic molecules within the lens.

When the wearer moves outdoors, exposure to light, particularly UV, causes those molecules to react, and the lens begins to darken.

Move back indoors, and the process reverses, allowing the lens to return towards clear.

It sounds complicated when you talk about the science. For the wearer, the experience is much simpler. Their lenses adapt as the light around them changes.

TOG Wins the Best Kaizen Grand Award for the Third Consecutive Year

Thai Optical Group Public Company Limited, TOG, is proud to receive the Grand Award, The Best Kaizen Award, for the third consecutive year at the 8th Industrial Kaizen Competition 2026.

The competition was held as part of the National Engineering Conference and organised by The Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. the King’s Patronage.

The winning project, “Enhancing Productivity and Manufacturing Efficiency through Improvements to the Ophthalmic Lens Tinting Process,” was presented by Ms Sirikorn Boonchu, Production Engineer at TOG.

This project shows how our people use their knowledge, experience and practical ideas to improve productivity and manufacturing performance.

Receiving this award for three consecutive years reflects TOG’s strong culture of continuous improvement. We remain committed to improving our processes, maintaining high product quality and supporting customers across Asia and international markets.
