From August 2 to 4, 2026, Silicon Craft Technology PLC participated in IEEE BioSensors 2026, the international conference on biosensor science, technology, and innovation, held at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park, Bangkok.
The conference gathered scientists, engineers, medical professionals, researchers, students, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from countries around the world to share progress in biosensor research and to help move that research from the laboratory into real-world, commercially viable use. The opening ceremony on August 3 was presided over by Professor Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), who outlined Thailand's vision to become a regional hub for advanced technology across fields including medicine, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, microelectronics, and digital transformation.
The company joined the event as a sponsor and exhibitor, showcasing its NFC sensor interface microchips, a key component for miniaturized, battery-free instruments that can be read directly by a smartphone, helping bring biosensor testing closer to everyday use. Dr. Bodin Kasemset, Chief Executive Officer, presented on behalf of the company, sharing insights into its NFC sensor interface microchip technology and its applications in biosensing. Professor Dr. Apinunt Thanachayanont, Chief Research Officer, served as Industry Chair and Moderator for the conference's industry panel. The team also submitted a research paper, "NFC-Enabled Microfluidic Electrochemical Biosensing Platform," which was accepted and presented at the conference by Dr. Kingkan Pungjunan, Sensor Technologist.
The company remains committed to advancing globally standardized NFC and RFID technology developed by Thai engineers, and to supporting Thailand's growth as a hub for biosensor and semiconductor innovation in the region.
