Adsorb aka Adam Dowding has been Djing & producing music since the early nineties but over the last 29 years has been pushing the boundaries with his unique style of Breakbeat/Electro House and has featured at some of the worlds most infamous clubs and festivals. He has just joined Crème Academy as their DJ instructor, designing courses and providing in-depth knowledge and experience for the students.
He set up and managed the award winning recording studio Kenwood Studios in 2000 in Sheffield UK, working with artists such as Dizzee Rascal, who's album 'Boy In Da Corner' went on to win the Mercury Music prize, also fine tuning his production skills alongside in house engineer Toddla T, BBC Radio 1.
Adsorb then headed South to Brighton where he linked up with breakbeat head honcho Krafty Kuts and Skool Of Thought. He formed a tight residency at Supercharged for a number of years. He was nominated at the 2009 International Breakbeat awards as Best Breakthrough DJ. He has toured throughout the UK alongside Krafty Kuts, DJ'd with the Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Cash Money, Pendulum, Freestylers, Rahzel to name just a few.
He has completed two solo tours of Australia 2009/2010, has featured at clubs including; Fabric London, Ministry of Sound, Matter, Glade Festival, Bed Supperclub, Royfest. Adsorb has also DJ’d numerous times at Glastonbury Festival over the years including featuring at the BBC Radio 1 opening party with Annie Nightingale.
Adsorb received another nomination as 'Best Free Track' coming 4th in the world at the International Breakbeat Awards 2012 with his Electro/Breaks version of Adele's Hometown Glory.
Most recently Adsorb was one of the founders, organizers and music directors of Gravity Thailand. A large outdoor event in Bangkok featuring the Arcadia Spectacular Spider as the main stage. The outdoor shows had over 25,000 party people, featuring headline International DJ's such as; Kaskade, DVBBS, Zomboy, BL3ND, Roni Size & Dynamite MC, Bloody Beetroots SBCR DJ Set, Skism, Far Too Loud. Adsorb also graced the Spider stage with a special DJ performance alongside Bass 6 MC from the UK.
He also works as an event project manager for live music concerts producing shows with the legendary Foo Fighters, Incubus and Asian pop stars such as; Rain, AKB48, Exile the Second, Flower and Thailand’s very own Hugo.
