From three looks to 30: Indorama Ventures' recycled fibers take the runway at BIFW 2026

What started as an idea for just three outfits became a 30-look runway collection at Bangkok International Fashion Week 2026.

For PAINKILLER Atelier, this was its first exploration of recycled materials. Working with Indorama Ventures' deja™ recycled polyester fibers, made from used PET bottles, the designers discovered new creative possibilities, and the collection continued to grow.

The result was REBLOOM, a contemporary menswear collection inspired by nature's ability to renew itself, showing how recycled materials can become part of fashion that is both creative and desirable.

And the journey doesn't end on the runway.

As a mentor for RECO Collective 2026, PAINKILLER Atelier will share its experience with emerging Thai designers, helping them explore new possibilities with recycled materials.

With RECO Collective coming up on 21 October, we look forward to seeing more ideas come to life.

Innovation creates new opportunities for a more sustainable future. 💡

At St Patrick's Secondary School in Malaysia, students are leading the way in responsible recycling and e-waste management.

The program engaged more than 1,400 students, 74 teachers, and community partners through Recycling Days, sustainability camps, and a dedicated e-waste collection program.

Together, they collected more than 3,300 kg of e-waste and 1,500 kg of recyclable materials. By encouraging student leadership and strengthening community collaboration, the school is demonstrating how innovation and collective action can drive meaningful environmental impact.

Four years of turning everyday actions into meaningful impact. ♻️💙

For the fourth consecutive year, Indorama Ventures has partnered with Riverside Plaza for “Shop Pan Suk with Pan Kan”, an initiative that brings together environmental action, community support and opportunities for local businesses.

Since 2022, activities at Riverside Plaza have helped collect more than 4 tons of post-consumer PET bottles for recycling, encouraging people to separate their waste and helping keep valuable materials in circulation.

The impact goes beyond recycling. The initiative also gives local community vendors an opportunity to showcase their products, reach new customers, and generate additional income, while supporting educational opportunities for underprivileged children through the Yuvabadhana Foundation.

When people, businesses, and communities come together, everyday actions can create value that reaches further. Through our long-term partnership with Riverside Plaza, we are continuing to support livelihoods, strengthen communities and advance a more circular approach to resources, one bottle at a time.

More than a partnership, it is a shared commitment to creating a better future together.

Standing together to support communities when it matters most. 💙

Indorama Ventures, led by Mrs. Suchitra Lohia, Deputy Group CEO and Chairperson of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, together with IVL Foundation has donated essential relief supplies to support communities affected by flooding in Bangkok.

The supplies, including dry food, relief packages, household essentials and daily necessities, were presented to Ms. Tavida Kamolvej, Deputy Bangkok Governor, for distribution by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.

In addition, Indorama Ventures provided water-drainage equipment, water pumping systems and rain bibs to support frontline responders with floodwater drainage, rescue and relief operations, while helping keep personnel working in affected areas safe.

As affected families navigate the challenges of recovery, we hope this support will help ease immediate hardships and provide some comfort during a difficult time. We extend our heartfelt encouragement to everyone affected and our appreciation to those working on the ground to support relief and recovery efforts.

Leadership grows when students are empowered to take action. 🌍

At SMK La Salle Sentul in Malaysia, sustainability became a student-led movement through the school's Nature Lovers Club.

By combining recycling campaigns, waste audits, and composting initiatives, 385 students and 40 teachers worked together to collect 3,211 kg of recyclable materials while reducing food waste sent to landfill by 34%.

The program demonstrates how education, leadership, and collaboration can inspire lasting behavioral change, creating a school community where sustainability becomes part of everyday life.

Building a circular future starts with education. ♻️

At Sekolah Alam Pacitan in Indonesia, students are learning that waste is not simply something to throw away; it's a resource that can be transformed.

Through composting, maggot cultivation, and a school-wide waste bank, the program engaged 210 students, 23 teachers, and more than 360 parents and community members, collecting 1,182 kg of recyclable materials while promoting circular economy principles through hands-on learning.

Beyond the school grounds, the team is also sharing its waste management practices with other schools, expanding its impact across the community. By empowering young people with practical skills and knowledge, today's classrooms are helping create tomorrow's sustainability leaders.

Change begins in the classroom, and teachers can help it reach far beyond. 🌱

Together with Greening Forward Cameroon, we have launched our first Waste Hero education initiative in Africa, bringing teachers to the heart of the circular economy journey.

Through the Waste Hero Teacher Capacity Building Program at the University of Buea, teachers from primary and secondary schools in the Southwest Region of Cameroon are gaining practical knowledge and tools to bring responsible waste management, waste sorting, circular economy principles, and student-led environmental action into their classrooms.

From hands-on waste sorting exercises to developing school-specific waste action plans, the program goes beyond learning; it equips teachers to turn knowledge into action within their schools and communities.

With 50 Waste Hero Ambassadors set to be certified across the region, each trained teacher has the potential to inspire hundreds of students and create a ripple effect of positive change.
