☀️ ก่อนมนุษย์จะเปิดแอร์สู้โลกเดือด ไทยเราเคยมี “ดินสอพอง” ไว้ลุยกับหน้าร้อน

ดินสอพองที่เรามักใช้กันในวันสงกรานต์ไม่ใช่แค่ของเล่น ไม่ใช่แค่แป้งปะแก้มเอาแค่สนุก แต่มันคือเศษเสี้ยวของภูมิปัญญา จากยุคที่มนุษย์ยังรู้จักอยู่กับความร้อน โดยไม่รีบผลักทุกอย่างไปให้ปลั๊กไฟจัดการ

เหตุผลก็ไม่ได้ลึกลับ เมื่อดินสอพองผสมน้ำแล้วอยู่บนผิว น้ำจะค่อยๆ ระเหยและพาความร้อนออกไป เลยทำให้เรารู้สึกเย็นลง และสีที่อ่อนยังรับความร้อนน้อยกว่าสีเข้ม

คนรุ่นก่อนอาจไม่มีเทคโนโลยีเท่าเรา แต่เขามี Mindset ที่บางครั้งเรากำลัง "ทำหาย" คือ การใช้ทรัพยากรเท่าที่จำเป็น และอยู่กับธรรมชาติให้เป็น ก่อนคิดจะใช้พลังงานเพิ่ม

วันนี้โลกยิ่งร้อน คนยิ่งเปิดแอร์หนักขึ้น ค่าไฟก็ขึ้น ภาระต่อโลกก็เพิ่ม บางที สงกรานต์อาจไม่ได้มีแค่ความสนุก แต่มันกำลังแอบบอกเราว่า

The Din Sor Pong we often use during Songkran isn't just a toy. It's not just powder dabbed on our cheeks for fun. But rather, it is a fragment of wisdom from an era when humans knew how to coexist with the heat—without immediately relying on a power plug to solve everything.

The science behind it isn't a mystery. When Din Sor Pong is mixed with water and applied to the skin, the water gradually evaporates, carrying the heat away with it and leaving us feeling cooler. Moreover, its light color absorbs less heat compared to darker shades.

Older generations may not have had the technology we do today, but they possessed a mindset that we are, at times, starting to "lose": the principle of using resources only as necessary and learning to live in harmony with nature before resorting to consuming more energy.

Today, as the world gets hotter, people crank up their ACs even more. Electricity bills rise, and the burden on our planet increases. Perhaps the Songkran festival isn't just about having fun. It might be subtly reminding us that:
