At the Data Center and Power Southeast Asia Summit (DCPSEA 2026) in Bangkok, Constant Energy joined industry leaders to explore one of the defining challenges of Southeast Asia's digital transformation: delivering reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy solutions to support the region's rapidly expanding data center footprint.

During the panel discussion, Esa Heiskanen, COO and Country Manager, Thailand, discussed the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of renewable energy procurement in Southeast Asia, including:

✅ The progress of DPPA frameworks in Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia
✅ What corporate energy buyers and data center operators are seeking from renewable PPAs, including long-term price stability, credible emissions reductions, and support for sustainability commitments
✅ The key enablers needed to scale renewable PPAs, from regulatory certainty and grid access to balanced risk allocation and bankable counterparties

As demand for data centers continues to accelerate across Thailand and Southeast Asia, renewable energy will be a critical enabler of both digital growth and decarbonization. ☀️ Constant Energy and Phenikaa Group Advance Sustainable Manufacturing in Central Vietnam

Now operational, a 928.75 kWp rooftop solar installation at Phenikaa Hue's manufacturing facility in Hue City, Vietnam, will help support the company's long-term sustainability and energy transition goals.

Developed by Constant Energy, a member of Virya Energy, and delivered in partnership with PE2T, the project's Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor, the system is expected to generate approximately 1.24 million kWh of clean electricity annually, helping to avoid more than 13,400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions over the project's lifetime.

Oscar Loza, Country Manager of Constant Energy Vietnam, commented: "I personally visited the rooftop to assess the quality of the installation, and I was impressed by the high standard of work. From construction to permits and licensing, everything progressed smoothly thanks to the strong support from Phenikaa's management team and our EPC partner, PE2T."

Hoang Anh Trung Son, Director of Phenikaa Hue, said: "I am deeply moved to celebrate the inauguration of this project today. This is not only an energy project, but also a reflection of Phenikaa's long-standing commitment to green movements, which remain at the core of our business philosophy."

Constant Energy joined industry leaders at Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC)'s Greening Vietnam's Industrial Parks event in Ho Chi Minh City, where our Director of Business Development & Partnerships, Tien Tran, delivered a keynote on "Solutions to Deploy Green Energy for Large Energy Users."

During the session, we discussed how Vietnam's industrial sector can accelerate its decarbonization journey through an integrated approach to clean energy by using solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), industrial zone management system and direct power purchase agreements (DPPA).

Beyond the speaking session, we also had a booth at the event and engaged in discussions with large-scale energy offtakers, industrial park developers and operators, manufacturers, and industry stakeholders.

Energy Transition Dialogue: Supporting a Clearer DPPA Framework in Vietnam

Recently, Tien Tran, Constant Energy's Director of Business Development & Partnerships in Vietnam, joined the roundtable at the "Energy Transition Seminar: A Driver for Double-Digit Growth", alongside industry leaders and policymakers, organized in Hanoi.

During the discussion, Constant Energy shared perspectives on the challenges faced by FDI companies in developing solar projects in Vietnam, especially around the DPPA mechanism:
