The School of Materials Science and Innovation extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Emeritus Professor Tony Moon of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Professor Tony Moon played a pivotal role in fostering the enduring partnership between the School of Materials Science and Innovation and UTS. His vision and dedication were instrumental in advancing the School’s first Double Degree Program and numerous other academic initiatives that strengthened collaboration between our two institutions.

We are deeply grateful for his vision, generosity, and unwavering dedication to education. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations.

May he rest in peace.

Transnational Research Talk: Academia–Industry Exchange on Lignin-Related Research

กลุ่มสาขาวัสดุศาสตร์และนวัตกรรมวัสดุ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล จัดกิจกรรม Transnational Research Talk: Academia–Industry Exchange on Lignin-Related Research เพื่อเป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ ประสบการณ์ และสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือด้านการวิจัยและการประยุกต์ใช้ lignin ระหว่างภาคการศึกษา รวมถึงภาคอุตสาหกรรม

ภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากวิทยากรผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจากต่างประเทศ ภายในประเทศ และภาคอุตสาหกรรม จำนวน 3 ท่าน ได้แก่

- Assoc. Prof. Fan Zhang จาก School of Engineering and Informatics, University of Sussex สหราชอาณาจักร

-รศ. ดร. สันติ เชื้อเต๊อะ จากคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ

-ดร.อนุพัฒน์ โพธิสถิตย์ยืนยง Specialist, Innovation Growth Platform / Corporate Innovation จากบริษัท PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC)

วิทยากรทั้งสามท่านได้ร่วมถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้เกี่ยวกับ lignin ตั้งแต่การวิจัยพื้นฐาน กระบวนการแยกและการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี ไปจนถึงแนวทางการต่อยอดและประยุกต์ใช้ในภาคอุตสาหกรรม พร้อมแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการผลักดันผลงานวิจัยสู่การใช้ประโยชน์จริง กิจกรรมได้รับความสนใจจากคณาจารย์ นักวิจัย นักศึกษา และผู้แทนจากภาคอุตสาหกรรม ทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ ที่ได้ร่วมแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างภาคการศึกษาและภาคอุตสาหกรรม โดยไม่เสียค่าใช้จ่าย

นอกจากนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมยังได้มีโอกาสเยี่ยมชม Mahidol–Evident Bioimaging Center ภายใต้ศูนย์เครื่องมือกลาง คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เพื่อเรียนรู้ศักยภาพของเครื่องมือวิจัยและการสนับสนุนงานวิจัยด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ของมหาวิทยาลัย

🌱 A New Academic Year, A New Beginning

Welcome to a new academic year 2026. I would like to emphasize the concept of unity this year.

Many of you have grown up in an era that rightly celebrates individuality. You have been encouraged to express your ideas, pursue your passions, and embrace what makes you unique. These are qualities we deeply value because they inspire creativity, innovation, and personal growth.

University, however, is also where we learn another equally important lesson. Individuality reaches its greatest potential when it is accompanied by humility, respect for others, and a commitment to a shared purpose. In science, engineering, and in life, the most meaningful achievements are rarely accomplished by one person alone. They are built by people with different talents who work together toward a common goal.

As members of this program, I encourage you to continue developing your own strengths while also becoming someone others can trust, collaborate with, and learn from. Your education is not only about becoming an outstanding individual. It is also about becoming a valued member of a team and a responsible contributor to society.

As we begin this new academic year, let us learn with curiosity, lead with integrity, and grow together as one community.
