Thinking about rooftop solar in Thailand?
This article says exactly what we’ve been telling our clients for years.
As rooftop solar becomes a mainstream home investment, price alone is no longer the benchmark. According to the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), safety systems like AFCI, rapid shutdown, certified inverters and batteries, and correct grid approval are no longer optional — they are essential.
At High Solar, this has never been a “new requirement.”
🔹 We have always designed and installed PV systems to full electrical safety standards
🔹 We use certified, high-end equipment only
🔹 We design systems for 20+ years of safe, efficient operation — not short-term savings
- This is why your system was built the right way from day one.
- True value comes from safety + performance combined.
Because in rooftop solar, efficiency without safety is unacceptable — and safety without performance doesn’t deliver real returns.

The 2026 Rooftop Solar Buyer’s Guide: What Thai homeowners should look for
As rooftop solar becomes a mainstream home investment in Thailand, the 2026 buyer’s guide sends a clear message: price and panel size are no longer enough. Safety and performance are what separate a long-term asset from a costly mistake.
Mr Techatat Buranaaudsawakul, Chairman of the Electrical Engineering Department at the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT), stresses that rooftop solar must be treated as critical electrical infrastructure, with the same safety standards as any system inside the home.
From AFCI and Rapid Shutdown requirements under the new EIT 2025 standards, to certified inverters, batteries and proper grid approval, cutting corners can mean fire risks, failed inspections and lost savings.
With systems costing 150,000–400,000 baht and payback periods of 4–5 years, homeowners are urged to look beyond promotions and choose solutions that deliver both safety and efficiency for 20+ years.
Because when it comes to rooftop solar, efficiency without safety is unacceptable, and safety without performance won’t deliver value.
