This week I'm going to discuss INVERTERS.

Inverters are the brain of a Solar System, they come in a variety of prices and quality. You actually do pay for what you get.
We only offer 'Global Brands' that are tested, safe and are reliable with a 'guarantee from a company that will be around to honor it'

A good Inverter has a web/mobile interface and App. It can be easily programmed for your requirements and easily changed by you.

Some Inverter requirements and It must to have options to do the following-

1. Sell to grid or not?
2. Be able to isolate itself from a Grid failure or Power Lines are down to ensure the safety of the Power Company Engineers.
3. It must work with a BMS (Battery Management System)
allowing you to adjust battery storage for emergency
backup power
3A. Or provide power to supplement your
electrical needs from the battery power stored
3B. Or utilize the battery storage to provide power when the
solar power is not longer delivering energy.
3C. Either when the sun is not shining or the has been a
power loss from the grid.
3D. The Inverter can manage the system automatically and turns on when the power fails and turns off when the power returns, this process is seamless.
4. Allow for instant backup power from the batteries when the grid fails.
5. Allows you to have separate circuits in 'backup mode.' 5A. Keep on critical appliances, lights, security systems, medical equipment

We will provide the correct size INVERTER for your Solar Panels. We allow you to choose within your budget, but only SAFE GLOBAL BRANDS, an Inverter handles a great deal of power and if it is unsafe it could catch fire and burn your house down.

We will never sell you 'close out' or 'discontinued' or warehouse stock which was bought last year/s.

I get asked this question at every presentation. "DO I NEED BATTERIES?"

MR SOLAR AND SUN provides Solar Solutions that are tailored to your needs.
We do not carry Inventory so we have np preference to what we offer.
We believe in 'The Right System at The Right Price, Always!

In my opinion you always need batteries, the amount needed we can help you determine. Choices are Lithium Ferrous Phosphate (LiFePO4) or Gel batteries. The LiFePO4 are more expensive, have more power, are smaller and if esthetics are a criteria, they are your best bet.

However, If you have plenty of space the Gel batteries are good value and work adequately and are less expensive.

BOTH provide 'Back-Up' power in an emergency, enable you to manage you energy consumption and combined with a QUALITY Inverter you can program the Inverter using a connected 'Battery Management System' (BMS) to-

1. Balance between Batteries, PEA and Solar Cells power.
2. Program for PEAK Hour Usage so the batteries discharge in Peak hours.
3. Full battery back-up for emergencies. An 80% battery storage capacity at all times On-Grid. This will discharge to 10% when Off-Grid (Loss of Power) ensuring you have as much battery available when it is needed. (Any variance can be programmed)

In any of the scenarios when the batteries are charged according to your needs and ANY EXCESS generated is sold to the PEA.
