หนึ่งในหลักสูตรการเรียนรู้ของซันนี่คิดส์ "ธีม(Theme)" เราแบ่งหัวข้อ (ธีม) ต่างๆในแต่ละเดือน โดยมาจากสภาพแวดล้อมรอบๆตัวเด็ก กระตุ้นให้เด็กๆสังเกตุและคิดหาเหตุและผลของสิ่งต่างๆ ซึ่งเด็กจะสนุกกับหัวข้อกิจกรรมโดยไม่รู้สึกว่าสิ่งเหล่านั้นคือบทเรียน.... วิชาการที่แสนยากจะไม่มีอีกต่อไปสำหรับเด็กๆที่ซันนี่คิดส์

Here in SUNNY KIDS, we believe that children learn best through play, active exploration of their environment, and thoughtfully planned activities thus, we practice a theme-based learning. We love learning with themes which varies every month. It is a fun way to explore new topics with kids and a great way to learn about a general topic and then each week dig deeper into that concept.
A theme-based curriculum model encourages children to form and create patterns and assists them in figuring out the connections to learning. When all the learning activities are connected around a single "theme," children see how learning is inter-connected. For example, science isn't just a subject that stands alone, but it is intimately related to reading and math. Teaching with themes is a great way to engage children in the learning process, knowing that you are helping them to make connections about the world around them. That sounds so cool, right?

Color is one of the first ways children make distinctions among things they see; color words are some of the first words they use to describe these things. But there is much more to their understanding of color than "knowing his colors." While it is important for them to know the names of the colors, it is just as important for them to know what to do with these colors.
Here in SUNNY KIDS, we introduce every child to the world of shades and hues by giving her/him some paint swatches to explore. She/He can sort them into different color piles, match similar colors, and create a sequence or "color train" of hues from light to dark. Bring out the glue stick and she/he can cut and paste the colors to make monochromatic collages of yellows, reds, blues, etc.
As young as they are, let us teach children to use color as a means for defining and organizing the world.

Jolly Phonics is a fun and child-centered approach to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. With actions for each of the 42 letter sounds, the multi-sensory method is very motivating both for children and teachers. The sounds are taught in a specific order (not alphabetically). This enables children to begin building words as early as possible.
Using a synthetic phonics approach, Jolly Phonics teaches children the five key skills for reading and writing. The programme continues through school enabling the teaching of essential grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.

SUNNY KIDS makes learning about numbers as easy as 1-2-3 in a fun and engaging way through an array of hands-on activities. Children here are taught from simple counting, one-to-one correspondence between number symbols and items/objects, variations in size, patterns, or shapes to making them realize how math concepts exist in their everyday life. Exciting, isn’t it?

Today's recipe for our cooking time is a sweet Thai dessert called Khanompang Ping Ney Nom or buttered toast with condensed milk. Truly a sweet treat for our Junior Chefs! 😋😋😋

Our children should learn to cook, thus, here in SUNNY KIDS we bring out the young chefs in them. Cooking skills and food skills are especially important for kids. Through hands-on food activities, kids can learn about different taste combinations, their food preferences and the many food choices available to them. They can also build their cooking confidence. As they get older and become adults, knowing how to prepare their own food will be a valuable asset in saving money on food by not having to rely on frozen, prepackaged and fast foods.
These kids really cook great, healthy and delicious foods, you better taste them!

Squishing, rolling, sculpting, molding . . .our children here in SUNNY KIDS love to play with playdough! We believe that it is a powerful way to support our children’s learning. This activity enables them to use their imaginations and strengthen the small muscles in their fingers—the same muscles they will one day use to hold a pencil and write. Using playdough with their friends develops their social skills such as sharing, taking turns, and enjoying being with other people. Playdough also encourages children’s language and literacy, science, and math skills—all at the same time! It really is fun learning with playdough!
