Business and investment in Tunisia, has been in a state, for a time, of big problems and continuous crisis, as what happens with small and medium enterprises PME, the mainstay of the economy in any country, is a worrying matter, and the numbers confirm that, especially in the internal regions.
Looking back, we know that the region of Tataouine (for example) has been experienced by a social movement that begins in 2017 known as El KAMOUR. It was a chocked experience, where we have seen a new form of protest, like a stopping the production of oil coming from the different oil fields existing in desert of Tataouine which lasted about two months, we have watched also , how the youths from region stood and resist for a month's together to earn rights to live decently and get jobs in their region. These protests continued for more three years, almost continuously.
All of this, and other causes, directly and completely affected directly and completely the investment in the region, especially in energy field, and with the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all hope for sustainable development in the Tataouine region at the near and medium level has ended, because almost all PME’s and TPME’s has either bankrupt or almost bankruptcy and Especially in the absolute absence of support program for reforms.
Many programs and ONG's spoke about and explain the destruction of the PME’s and TPE’s caused by what we explained above, by numbers, like, (Arab Institute of Business Owners; Tunisian Institute of Competitiveness and Quantitative Studies; Connect; UNDP...)
Hasna Petroleum Services, like the most PME’s after our creation in 2016, in 2017 when we just began our activities, every kind of no-stabilities it just began. You can imagine what's and how happened along three or four years, after.
Instead of giving up, we resisted all the following years, we created a stress-free zone and started to put our effort together with our partners and with our great team and the moment of rise-up has come, to manage to overcome all these step backs.
Today, HPS's on the front,
Without the help of a country that left us lonely facing all these challenges, facing corruption and especially facing its institutional negativity. But also, with the help of a real partner that HPS wants to say thank you to:
and and big thanks to all who have been in this magnificent journey with us.
