Kutes was founded in 1986 by Mehmet Bekir Kutmangil, who initially established Kutes Madencilik to carry out subcontracting activities for coal mining in Istanbul. In 1990, Bekir Kutmangil ventured into a new business by investing in an iron casting foundry located in Tekirdağ/Çorlu Province. By 1992, Kutes Döküm successfully produced its first casting. In 2016, Kutes expanded its operations by investing in a machining facility. The following year, the company established Kutes Makine and began its production. In 2022, Kutes published its first GRI-verified sustainability report and set an ambitious green production target for 2033. Kutes achieved a significant milestone in 2023 when it was recognized as a special industrial zone by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. Furthermore, the company established Kutes Enerji, which completed investments in solar power plants with a combined capacity of 26 Mwp in the provinces of Kirklareli and Edirne.
