Ensuring open dialogue between our officers and shore-based management has always been at the core of our business. Last week, we brought our officers and office teams together in Istanbul for our Company Run Seminar an intensive day of collaboration, reflection, and forward planning.
From chartering strategies and energy efficiency regulations to safety culture, crew leadership and performance management onboard, and technical inspections our agenda covered the full spectrum of what it takes to run a safe and efficient fleet.
The seminar concluded with the speech of our Managing Director Yavuz Kalkavan, who took us back to the company’s founding story the conditions under which Besiktas Shipping was built, the journey that brought us to where we stand today, and the vision that will guide us forward. This was followed by an open discussion, giving our teams the opportunity to share their perspectives directly with management.
